First of all, let me assure all of you that we are not dead, buried under the Gujarat. We're in Malaysia, and if the site is a bit behind it's for the following reasons:

1) Our car, our beloved East of Eden, was blocked for 10 days by customs in the Port of Bangkok.

2) Our computer, in the car, simply baked on the dock, and,

3) Our digital camera has been on the blink.

And so, East of Eden was released, a new hard drive was installed and I fixed the camera by taking it apart and spitting on it.

We are presently recuperating from all this on the island of Penang, camping out in a wonderful family's front yard in a fisherman's village north or Georgetown. There will be more detailed news soon. Promise.
